Hey everyone! I know I’ve been gone for literally 6 months, but I am finally back with plans better than ever, for the future of my blog!

I have in fact created a new blog, this is called ‘delectable desserts’! On that blog, I am going to be posting all the recipes for some delicious treats which I hope that you can feel inspired to recreate some of your own desserts from! I’m going to be posting on the blog every 2 weeks with something new and tasty, so that every recipe is going to be more developed and intricate as I get into blogging and baking more. I think it’s important to push myself slightly out of my comfort zone without caring whether some recipes work or not.

Initially, I am going to post some of the recipes that are already existing on this blog, but I am planning on editing things on them (such as pictures) to make them even better. As I have remade them, I have learnt how to make them more unique and found personal tips that make them look and taste the best they can!

So…you may be thinking ‘why I’m telling you this’ and/or ‘what is going to happen with this blog?’
Well, the main reason I’m telling you is because I would really appreciate if you could all come over to my new blog and support me, by following me! I am going to be a little less active on this account and as I know I follow a lot of you who already follow me, I am going to refollow you on my new blog account. Having said this, this account is not going to completely disappear! Obviously, my new blog is going to be all things desserts, but if there is anything I ever want to blog about beside desserts I’ll be doing that on here.

Thank you so much for being patient while I haven’t posted! Don’t forget to check out my new blog & follow me: https://delectabledessertssite.wordpress.com/

There isn’t much on there currently, but I am going to be regularly posting on there really soon!

I hope this blog brought a splash of happiness into your day and I’ll see you soon!

Christmas market ideas

Hey everyone! Sorry that I haven’t posted in so long, I have really busy with various things but I hope to get back in the tune of blogging again!

During the Christmas season, everyone is looking to get presents for their friends and family and it is a great opportunity to make some money from people who already have their purses out! I decided to take advantage of this by taking part in the Christmas markets with my friend! I thought I would share some of my own tips in case any of you wanted to do something like this too!

Firstly, I would say the most important thing when holding your own stall is to attract customers, and I think the best way to do this, is it to make your stall visually appealing. Start by buying a Christmas/seasonal tablecloth which you can buy from most places really cheap and I also bought this packet of decorations which look like fairy lights but leave a really nice effect if you just scatter them about on the table.

When it came to selling I thought of some ideas which would be super easy to make, cheap and unique.

Sweets are something which everyone loves and when it comes to children, they don’t consider the price that much which means you can sell slightly on the pricey side and make lots of money from it! I bought around 200 sweet cones which came with gold ties which you can buy from eBay or amazon and places like that for around £6. I bought gold, red and green curling ribbon as they’re all sort of Christmas related colours so they look really nice on the stall, as well as a bunch of sweets to fill them up with. This included rainbow drops for the bottom corner which fitted quite nicely, marshmallows, pick n’ mix and candy canes.

Also, the majority of people who celebrate Christmas have a tree which they will decorate with a load of baubles, therefore, after some research on some online shops I found some baubles which you can fill the centre by inserting a picture of your own choice. These actually looked really cute on the stall and it was very profitable!

Finally,  my friend and I thought to sell cookies (which everyone loves) wrapping them up in treat bags and again tying with ribbon! I know that cookies is something that is very easily accessible for people to buy elsewhere but when you have cookies in front of you it is pretty hard to say no! We had double chocolate, dark and milk chocolate and white chocolate which meant our customers had a wide variety of options. If you want, you can bake cookies by yourself but in my opinion, buying takes less effort and is a cheaper option!

I hope this blog brought a splash of happiness into your day and I’ll see you soon!

A sweet Swiss holiday

g 2Hey everyone! Recently I  came back from Switzerland which was amazing and so much fun! Switzerland is known for its beautiful views and being generally a very scenic place so this holiday was so relaxing and it was sad to say goodbye!

I went to Geneva which is the second most populous citthumbnail_photo qwsdcfxsfcgy (after Zurich) and it is surrounded by many mountains. The temperature when I went was around 20-30 degrees which was perfect summer weather!

One of the places I visited in my time in Geneva was the famous Lake Geneva, which was absolutely stunning as the view is gorgeous! I loved sitting down on the green grass being able to see the beautiful view and I found the environment there to be so tranquil. I went on a few boat journey’s that took me across the lake and the water was really blue.

Also, I saw the Jet d’eau which was a massive fountain that squirts up water up to 140 feet in the air! The water would spray in the direction of the wind so eventually I got the opportunity to go really close to it without getting wet.

I also went up the mountains to go on the cable cars to see a dazzling birds eye view of Switzerland! It went really high so you could see everything and it was very scenic and there was lots of greenery (probably not recommended if you’re scared of heights though!) While on the mountain, I was lucky enough to see a paraglider take off literally just a few metres from where I was sitting.

In Geneva there is also a flower clock, which is a clock (that actually works!) but it’s made out of flowers. I have no idea how they managed to get it to work but it was so cool! The flowers that made up the clock were really colourful and the grass around it was really green!

g 3I went to the United nations in Geneva which was very interesting! I got a whole tour of the place and it was really big, I got shown the oldest room and the newest room as well as many rooms in the middle that were available!

I also went on to a bridge where you could see the different colours of the water, one side more milky and slow whereas the other running quite fast and flowy to lake Geneva. I attempted to take a picture of it but it wasn’t very clear on the camera!thumbnail_photo f;oy

Overall, Switzerland is a very recommended holiday destination and you can take my word for it!

I hope this blog brought a splash of happiness into your day and I’ll see you soon! Bye x
